Changing the difficulty makes a new maze and starts a fresh attempt.
Every new maze is a different random layout, so times and bumps only compare fairly on the same maze. Use Reset or “Same maze again” for like-for-like attempts.

Times and bumps only compare fairly on the same maze. A new maze is a different layout, not a harder or easier version of this one.
What this game helps with
Therapy goals: visual-motor integration, fine-motor control and precision, motor planning, and steady graded hand movement. Navigating the path also builds spatial reasoning and crossing the midline. Tips: start on Easy with slow, careful movements; the bump counter rewards control over speed. Increase the maze size as precision improves — Expert is a big, twisty challenge for steady hands. Comparing attempts: every New Maze is a different random layout, so only compare times and bumps between attempts on the same maze (Reset or “Same maze again”). The untimed Practice setting lets a child explore a maze without the clock.
