    What this game helps with
Therapy goals: Emotion-regulation problem-solving, empathy, evaluating coping strategies, cause-and-effect reasoning, and self-awareness.

Each scenario shows a Cuddle Monster in the middle of a big feeling. The child chooses how the monster should handle it, watches one possible outcome unfold — the monster and a story picture respond to the choice — then a "Why might that happen?" debrief connects the strategy to a likely consequence. Outcomes are stories, not promises: real people do not always apologize, include us, or feel better quickly.

Easy: clear helpful-vs-unhelpful contrast, 2 choices. Medium: 3 choices — one clearly unhelpful, two partially right. Hard: complex social scenarios with 4 choices — several are reasonable, some are unhelpful — and the child explains their pick in writing. Goldie's scenarios explore grief and loss for older children.

Clinician mode pauses after every choice so you can discuss predictions before revealing the outcome. No choice is punished — unhelpful picks simply show one likely consequence, and every scenario can be explored again with a different choice.
